About Me:
Filmmaker, Poet, Musician, Animator
Parker Ivy Wanamaker is a transgender filmmaker, musician, poet, and animator based in Los Angeles, California. She directs, writes, and produces short films with the intention of experimentation at the forefront. Her films are created with the aim of ambiguity and limited dialogue, allowing the viewer to create their own interpretation of the material at hand.
Her purpose in filmmaking, is to lift up and raise awareness of queer stories and the voice of trans individuals through the means of image and sound. In addition to trans and queer stories, her focus is also in aiding in the intersectionality of marginalized groups within the queer umbrella. Recognizing her privileges in life, she hopes to bring light to those who are often silent in film and television and the news media.
Outside of her personal work, she is an Associate Producer at Arc Creative, where she manages various clients and artists for the production of Visual Effects in advertisements and trailers.
